“We believe that all Georgia communities, whether in a metropolitan or rural demographic, deserve access to quality healthcare,” explained Jim Edwards, CEO of United Bank. “The recent pandemic has put additional strain on the healthcare community, but through Georgia Heart, companies like United Bank can play an important role in supporting our rural hospitals. Our middle Georgia communities are fortunate to have the excellent healthcare provided by our local hospitals and their hard-working employees.”

Our United Bank team in Madison recently donated funds to the Madison-Morgan Community Food Pantry to help provide access to nutritional food. We are honored to partner with great folks like these who work hard to care for those who need help this time of year.

United Bank has provided financial assistance to SHA Inc since 2007, and sponsors multiple activities at Southern Heartland Visual Art Center, including its annual month long invitational art exhibit, Artful Harvest, fundraising events, the sponsor and donor party, and the weekly “Paint Party,” a free and open to the public art workshop hosted by professional artists at the visual art center.
A portion of UNITED BANK’s sponsorship also goes to the James P. Hayes Cardinal Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to graduating seniors interested in careers in the visual arts and to underserved children attending summer art camp programs or wishing to take continuing art education.
