UBCares

We believe in corporate social responsibility. We are accountable to our communities, our employees and their families, and the environment that we all share.

These are the words from one of our belief statements, where we connect our work with our communities and neighbors.  Our employees lead UBCares, collaborating between our 13 communities to support others with our financial sponsorships, time and specialized knowledge.  Below is peek at some of things we've done in 2024.

Habitat for Humanity

Madison & Newnan, various dates

Our teams of volunteer employees worked alongside the Habitat coordinators on projects including interior and exterior painting and landscaping.  This was our third assignment with the Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity project and our first with the Morgan County chapter.

Restock the Pantry Food Drive

January 22 – February 22: All markets/divisions

After serving the communities during the holiday season, many of the local food pantry shelves are practically empty. We partnered with one pantry in every community.  United Bank accepted food donations in each branch, at the Barnesville Annex and the Zebulon Call Center to help re-stock the shelves of our partner pantries. When someone brought in 10 items, they received a custom designed reusable grocery bag as a thank you.

Financial Literacy & Fraud Awareness

Ongoing, in all markets

Our team of employee volunteers enjoy speaking to various audiences about financial literacy and fraud awareness.  These audiences are retired teachers, senior citizens, civic clubs and other groups.  An on-going initiative of the UBCares program is financial education.

If you know of a financial literacy speaking opportunity, please contact the UBCares coordinator,
Jennifer Turner at jturner@unitedbank.net.
