For longer-term investments, you should consider a United Bank Certificate of Deposit (CD). You can choose from a variety of terms with maturities ranging from seven days to five years. Our CDs offer competitive interest rates and you can elect to receive your interest monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually or at maturity. You will also enjoy the security of FDIC insurance. Nest Egg Certificate of Deposit
This unique CD is perfect for the disciplined saver looking for a higher rate than typically offered with our savings accounts. The Nest Egg CD has a non-renewable 12-month term, requiring only a minimum $50 to open. An automated funds transfer (AFT) is set to debit your checking account monthly, helping you build your balance throughout the year. Upon maturity, you’ll have a nice nest egg to transfer into a traditional CD earning a higher rate.
This CD is also a great way to save for a future obligation, such as property taxes. Just carefully time your maturity to occur prior to your obligation's due date.
